Canberra time!
Flew up to Canberra today; had to be up at around 4am to get the flight. Not a bad place, its rather empty, lots of sparse land area, and definitely got a more constant temperature than Melbourne does – its just generally cold! Buildings are nicely architectured, very modern style look, and there’s a great, beautiful lake there. Wish there was more time to spend there visting sites, taking photos.
Anyways, pleased to see that some folk are already running SuSE 9.1, not as a main desktop, but at least trying it. Surely will make the migration later a lot easier. OOo is doing well, as for most features, once the methods are learnt, its not much different from Microsoft’s offering. Sales Manager couldn’t stand me running Fedora Core 2, so gave me lots of SuSE merchandise to take back – I now have the 5CD set of ISOs, so I might give it a poke.
