"... the complete love of my life, is now going out with someone."

Recommended way forward: break off all contact until you're emotionally over her/him. It could be a while, but that's ok.

Recommended approach: break off all contact until you emotionally recover. It could be a while, but it'll work.

Yep, soundjuicer does it, you "just" need to set it up using a completely separate program.
This was covered on fedora-test-list :)

First, sound juicer does mp3 just fine, you just need to add the support in gstreamer. See www.fedorafaq.org/#rhythmbox-mp3 for instructions on how.

And about mono, there has been some effort by people in the community to build some mono packages. There's the go-mono packages of course, they work. In addition the livna.org guys did build some mono packages, but I don't know what it led too. See http://rpm.livna.org/~anvil/MONO/ for the basic packages and talk to Anvil about the future of mono packaging.

In addition, nrpms.org has a mono repository with a lot of mono stuff already built. Sadly it requires you to replace some core packages (dbus) for it to work properly, see http://www.nrpms.net/Packages/fedora-3-i386/production/nrpms-mono-release.html

Unifing the existing efforts with some proper organisation would seem to me as the best solution for the mono issue.
