new movies caught

I never expected Adam Sandler to create a show like Eight Crazy Nights, but its something I enjoyed watching. Elektra is your typical Jennifer Garner movie, with a twist of relationship. American Pie Presents Band Camp was funny in a very silly way - watch it only if you have nothing else to do with your time.

I just caught V for Vendetta - nice show, good quotes, brings me back to Guy Fawkes Day and history classes. The Benchwarmers is a classic and funny Adam Sandler production, while from a show perspective The Da Vinci Code was a pretty good movie. I don’t know why all the critics are saying its over-hyped, or its so inaccurate, or its not like the book (when are movies ever like the paperback?), or the Christian zealots handing out leaflets telling us to be rescued after the show. Go watch it, for a movie. Ignore the hype, ignore the religious stigma that may be attached to it.

Oh and the character Silas. On a more personal note, silas was the first Digital OSF machine (64-bit) I got access to in that class of machines. OK, that’s somewhat of a lie (wiredpc was the first) but silas was a cluster and it was my first non-Linux Unix-based shell.
