ramblings
Wow, many a life update. I shock myself.
Karaoke. Something I used to think was an epic waste of time, is now fun. Note that my voice sucks, but the friends around you are fun
Punctured tyre on Ruben’s car. In Cheras. I’ve always believed in hiring experts to do, well, an expert’s job. A specialist if you must. No AAM, but John fixed it… No, not one of life’s goals to fix cars… I remind myself everyday why I dislike them, and they’re just a necessary evil of the day
Saturday was particularly fun. Sloggi event. About 1,000 frames captured, and the pictures are being uploaded “slowly”. Why? Well, there are close to 3GB of photos, and they’re going up at about 40KB/s. Or maybe 50KB/s, depending on the mood of my uplink.
Sunday - good day. Lunch, dinner with parents. F1, Olympics closing ceremony. Whee.
Its been raining a lot of late… I really dislike the rain. Sure, it cools things down, but that doesn’t mean I must like it. It usually entails traffic jams, and more. All pain, in general.
Kaveri. Banana leaf. We’ve been there twice in a week. New trend? Doubt it
Managed to catch You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. Funny. Really. A must watch.
GSC Signature in Gardens MidValley… tickets cost a bit more, but the reduction in crowd, is so worth it. Can’t wait to find a gold class movie there that I actually want to watch! Someone say Mamma Mia! Pity I won’t be around for the opening. Grr
I might be off to Pahang tomorrow for a day trip. It may or may not be fun. It looks to be like it might be a waste of time? Maybe its called off :) Wishful thinking… this is one of those silly busy weeks, where juggling work and life’s going to be tough
Reminded I am, of needing to unpack (since April!)

changing tyres? far from an expert’s job
do you call some tech guy to come and reset your router?
come on man, dont be such a wail fail

Lots of people ask for experts to come reset the router. They pay them RM80 and are done with it. Sad truth of life, but it happens.
Eh, Mariah Carey… Touch my body… Duh!
So yes, lots of people get things done for them. Its a function of how much you’re willing to spend. Lets say every minute of your time is worth RM1. By that measurement, spending 30 minutes changing a tyre, is a waste of RM30. Now, if you called AAM, you can spend time on your laptop, doing work that’s worth RM30, and now someone else will fix this problem for you, while you wait.
Everything, is a function of time. And money… Would you spend 0.5hr cooking to save RM30, or go out and spend less for a meal? Choices are easy.
BTW, its a “whale” not a “wail”.
