Mixi.jp uses it for their Twitter like service, so I&#8217;d advice you to go take a gander at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/6839\">Using Q4M: A Message Queue storage engine<\/a><\/li>\n<li>While we all know PrimeBase for giving us PBXT (and Paul will give a talk about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/6676\">PBXT engine<\/a>), lets not forget that they also have a BLOB streaming engine available. Go see Barry Leslie, talk about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/6727\">BLOB Streaming: Efficient Reliable BLOB handling for all storage engines<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Another engine out of Japan, the <a href=\"http:\/\/spiderformysql.com\">SPIDER storage engine<\/a> &#8211; go see the talk titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/6837\">SPIDE Storage Engine: Database Sharding by Storage Engine<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lots of storage engine talks, no? Well, there are even related tutorials, so if storage engines catch your fancy, check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/topic\/Storage+Engine+Development+and+Optimization\">storage engine<\/a> talks in the schedule. <\/p>\n<p>A few other picks: Monty talking about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/6991\">Maria<\/a> will definitely be a crowd puller, as well as Kevin Lewis talking about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/7133\">Falcon storage engine<\/a>. You might also find that the architecture of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlconf.com\/mysql2009\/public\/schedule\/detail\/7112\">ScaleDB<\/a> interesting.
