MAMPU have got their <a href=\"http:\/\/oscc.org.my\/\">OSCC Knowledge Bank<\/a> ready, and it sure seems neat. Will this survive? Will this be used?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever you may say, Apple has a good <a href=\"http:\/\/kbase.info.apple.com\/index.jsp\">knowledge base<\/a> &#8211; information in one central location is very <strong>important<\/strong>. Even Microsoft got it <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/default.aspx\">correct<\/a> (even though some of the information they place there is laughable at). Red Hat have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redhat.com\/apps\/support\/knowledgebase\/\">one<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<p>Which major open source project has one though? A good support knowledge base is integral to making your software work for end-users. I tried with OpenOffice.org &#8211; many different &#8220;leaders&#8221; with different vested interests (merging up to 3 sub-projects was never going to be easy).
