There is good news as on September 30 2013, the upload to Debian unstable is <a href=\"http:\/\/lists.alioth.debian.org\/pipermail\/pkg-mysql-maint\/2013-September\/006039.html\">complete<\/a> with MariaDB 5.5 (<a href=\"http:\/\/ftp-master.debian.org\/new\/mariadb-5.5_5.5.32-1.html\">5.5.32<\/a>). It&#8217;s now only a matter of time before this becomes available in Debian.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Its great to see the work of\u00a0Otto Kek\u00c3\u00a4l\u00c3\u00a4inen finally make it into Debian. I would say this has been in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ottok\/pkg-mariadb\">works<\/a> for seven months.
