{"id":3086,"date":"2015-07-08T22:01:28","date_gmt":"2015-07-09T03:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/?p=3086"},"modified":"2015-07-08T22:01:28","modified_gmt":"2015-07-09T03:01:28","slug":"minimum-viable-blogging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/archives\/2015\/07\/08\/minimum-viable-blogging","title":{"rendered":"Minimum Viable Blogging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m not a huge fan of the marketing surrounding the \u201clean startup\u201d or the idea of a \u201cminimum viable product\u201d. There\u2019s merit to all these ideas, but the hype is what kills it (for me).<\/p>\n<p>I have realised something recently \u2013 I spend a lot of time &amp; energy writing emails and creating documents within Google Docs or Keynote. Its just the nature of how things work. When it comes to chatting, there\u2019s IRC and lately even Slack. All this bashing on the keyboard means that I very rarely have time to blog and talk about the things that are going on via mail\/docs.<\/p>\n<p>So I\u2019m going to try something new. If an email or doc I write isn\u2019t private, and I\u2019m having wide distribution to it anyway and it could be of interest to others, I will also blog it. The hardest part of that is adding links so far!<\/p>\n<p>After all, if you\u2019ve read the ESR guide on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catb.org\/esr\/faqs\/hacker-howto.html\">How To Become A Hacker<\/a>, it clearly states that the world is full of fascinating problems waiting to be solved and most importantly <strong>no problem should ever have to be solved twice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>So maybe I don\u2019t read things over to \u2018edit\u2019 them, but this is a blog, not a publication.
