{"id":343,"date":"2005-09-27T16:37:29","date_gmt":"2005-09-27T21:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/?p=343"},"modified":"2008-10-22T01:03:58","modified_gmt":"2008-10-22T06:03:58","slug":"goodbye-terry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/archives\/2005\/09\/27\/goodbye-terry","title":{"rendered":"Goodbye Terry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been so behind on lists, that when I finally did catch up, I found some amazingly bad news. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/terry_teague\/index.html\">Terry Teague<\/a>, longtime <a href=\"http:\/\/porting.openoffice.org\/mac\/\">OpenOffice.org Mac OS X<\/a> contributor, has passed on. I met him at WWDC&#8217;04, and it was great talking to him. Little did I know he worked for Apple but kept it quiet online, till I met him, doing all sorts of amazing hardware related testing (he tends to write the Apple Hardware Test stuff you see on Disc 1 of some of your Macs). Showed me some cool things you could do, all on a floor! Didn&#8217;t get a chance to catch him at WWDC&#8217;05 this year, as he didn&#8217;t rock up, but in passing, we&#8217;re going to miss you mate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> There&#8217;s a great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tyborg.com\/2005\/09\/10\/terry-teague\/\">eulogy<\/a> to Terry.
