(for context, read <a href=\"http:\/\/malaysia-today.net\/blog2006\/holds.php?itemid=6714\">See you in hell Muhamad son of Muhamad<\/a>) Using draconian anti-terrorism laws against those insulting Islam (a religion, supposedly official for Malaysia) or the country&#8217;s very much <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Constitutional_monarchy#Constitutional_monarchy\">figure-head<\/a> of a King.<\/p>\n<p>How is this not strangling freedom on the Internet? How can he (Raja Petra) have crossed the line in making racist remarks, when we have ministers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeffooi.com\/2006\/11\/kerishamudin_in_newsweek.php\">wielding daggers<\/a> or parliament house used as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeffooi.com\/2007\/07\/omen.php\">slaughter-house<\/a> for sixteen cows &amp; goats? <\/p>\n<p>The ISA was something formed to use against the communists, something I believe Malaysia has not had in a long time. It was misused by the former recalcitrant Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir, during his lengthy tenure. And it looks like its making a comeback, against <i><b>bloggers<\/b><\/i>. It seems that &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/malaysia-today.net\/blog2006\/newsncom.php?itemid=6747\">This is to put a stop to the freedom to lie in the blogosphere<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; anyone reading should also note that Malaysia lacks press freedom, and all print media is a tool for the government of the day, controlled by the Ministry of Propaganda.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eff.org\/br\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.eff.org\/br\/br.gif?resize=112%2C76\" alt=\"Join the Blue Ribbon Online Free Speech Campaign\" align=\"middle\" border=\"1\" height=\"76\" width=\"112\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><br \/>Join the Blue Ribbon Online Free Speech Campaign!<\/a><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Weblogs, and sites on the Internet are the only avenues for <b>freedom<\/b> of expression and speech that remain in Malaysia. Much this to do with the MSC promise.
