So I&#8217;m presuming, this number is greater than just package maintainers&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Fedora, <a href=\"http:\/\/spevack.livejournal.com\/39087.html\">via<\/a> Max Spevack:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>non-RH maintainers: 276<\/li>\n<li>RH maintainers: 202<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>total @fedoraproject.org aliases for <b>package maintainers<\/b>: 478<\/p>\n<p>Ubuntu, <a href=\"http:\/\/robitaille.wordpress.com\/2007\/12\/18\/spam-via-ubuntucom\/\">via<\/a> Daniel Robitaille:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>348<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>total @ubuntu.com aliases: 348<\/p>\n<p>By the above, does it mean Fedora is <i>way<\/i> more successful than Ubuntu? Some detractors will say, RH has a lot more package maintainers than Canonical can afford. Sure. But an @fedoraproject.org &#8220;Fedora Membership&#8221; also extends to ambassadors, translators, etc. and not just package maintainers (so the number, 478 up there, is woefully under-reported).
