The shop is rigid &#8211; you can either pick a few, and if you want packs, they recommend it to be pre-packed. Heritage from about the 1970s, with each macaroon setting you back about\u00a0\u00a32 or so.<\/p>\n<p>Unless you get one with white truffles (<a href=\"http:\/\/myfoodsirens.wordpress.com\/2011\/02\/07\/london-pierre-hermes-white-truffle-macaron\/\">pic<\/a>). These are rare, and when they exist, they fly off the shelves. You don&#8217;t get them in pre-packaged gift boxes because it would overwhelm the other macaroons. They really taste good, heavenly even. I never figured truffles would go well in sweets, but its clear that this\u00a0p\u00e2tissier has figured it out.<\/p>\n<p>The Guardian wonders if they are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/lifeandstyle\/2010\/feb\/25\/macarons-pierre-herme\">the world&#8217;s best macaroons<\/a>?
