The <a href=\"https:\/\/access.redhat.com\/site\/documentation\/en-US\/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux\/7\/html\/7.0_Release_Notes\/\">release notes<\/a> have something important, under <a href=\"https:\/\/access.redhat.com\/site\/documentation\/en-US\/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux\/7\/html\/7.0_Release_Notes\/chap-Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux-7.0_Release_Notes-Web_Servers_and_Services.html\">Web Servers &amp; Services<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>MariaDB 5.5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MariaDB is the default implementation of MySQL in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. MariaDB is a community-developed fork of the MySQL database project, and provides a replacement for MySQL.
