{"id":3149,"date":"2016-01-01T21:46:25","date_gmt":"2016-01-01T13:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/?p=3149"},"modified":"2016-01-01T21:46:25","modified_gmt":"2016-01-01T13:46:25","slug":"new-years-note-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/archives\/2016\/01\/01\/new-years-note-2016","title":{"rendered":"New Year&#8217;s Note, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year we spent New Year\u2019s Eve in Vienna, Austria, and I have to say it was a lot colder compared to being in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bytebot.net\/blog\/archives\/2015\/01\/04\/new-years-note-2015\">Phuket<\/a>, so I think we\u2019ll do it in a more tropical country going forward.<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t take the TripIt stats that I should have taken, but I do have a <a href=\"http:\/\/cem.re\/year-in-review\/\">visualisation<\/a>:\u00a0328178 miles (so\u00a0528,151km versus\u00a0435,271km last year), 15 airlines flown, 33 airports and 116 flights. So we\u2019ll assume the 33 airports are \u201ccities\u201d, so I visited a lot less than the 49 cities. I was on the road for 281 days (as opposed to 264 days in 2014).<\/p>\n<p>I guess this is one of my heavier travel years, and we\u2019ll see how 2016 pans out. In the meantime, back to enjoying Vienna.
