• The ex-MySQL gang is back together, pushing MariaDB as a neutral 'bridge', April 24^th 2013 - Just a small mention about getting the band back together. Quote: "So now we have Widenius and other ex-MySQLers such as Colin Charles back together with players such as MySQL co-founder David Axmark and former MySQL sales director Magnus Stenberg.".
• EC website down: Incompetence, or more than meets the eye?, April 5^th 2013 - some comments on why websites go down under traffic.

2012

• MariaDBはたんなるMySQLのクローン製品ではない！, December 7^th 2012 - interview with DB Online in Japan about MariaDB and how it can survive even without MySQL.
• Big data & NewSQL (local copy), November 20^th 2012 - interview with a journalist in Korea about NewSQL trends and how MariaDB & MySQL are poised to be in this space.
• OurSQL #89: Seal of Approval, May 4^th 2012 - While not an interview, Gerry was in my talk at LinuxFest NorthWest and used the content from there to ensure that this podcast was made.
• MySQL founder's latest MariaDB release takes "enterprise" features open-source (local copy), April 14^th 2012, ArsTechnica - We launched a new MariaDB 5.5 series, and I got a quote in as a developer.

2011

• SkySQL in the Korean market (local copy), December 4^th 2011 - Interviewed alongside Daniel Saito about SkySQL, MariaDB and the Korean market.
• MariaDB: The New M in LAMP (video), November 2011 - Presented at T-DOSE, an opensource conference in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
• A beginner's guide to MariaDB (video), May 2011 - Presented at OpenSQLCamp Sardinia 2011.
• Astro Awani Gadget Nation on Location sharing apps (video), April 29^th 2011 - Interviewed with Adam Carruthers the show host about location sharing applications. This appeared on Astro Awani channel 501.
• In 1 Malaysia email, fears of a privacy breach (local copy), April 22^nd 2011 - Interviewed in The malaysian Insider on the 1Malaysia email project
• Experts doubtful of 1 Malaysia e-mail security (local copy) - April 20^th 2011 - a blurb in The Malaysian Insider about the 1Malaysia email program.

• TechBeat - a regular guest through much of 2010 and parts of 2011, started life as The Digital Edge as a podcast for The Edge Malaysia, and graduated to it being called TechBeat. Now defunct.
• The MariaDB Server -- What do you want from it? (intro + discussion) (video), October 2010 - presented at OpenSQLCamp Boston 2010
• 'Democratised web' helps Malaysian's life quality (local copy), July 15^th 2010 - a comment syndicated by the AFP's Romen Bose, about the use of open data.

2006-2009

Hiatus, as MySQL AB & Sun Microsystems had their own PR departments and all my energy was poured into MySQL.

2005

• Unfazed, IBM pumps Power chip program, June 9^th 2005, CNET News.com - So Apple ditched IBM's PowerPC for Intel. We just released a Fedora Core 4 Mac port. How's that for fun?

• Red Hat tries again with Linux enthusiasts, January 13^th 2005, CNET News.com - A bit about how Red Hat is interacting with developers, CVS, FUDCon, and the Fedora PPC port as at the current state.

2004

• Fedora Status Report, December 2004, Red Hat Magazine - An interview with me, touching about what I've been up to.
• New Fedora Core Big on Community, November 8^th 2004, Internetnews - Comments on why I thought Fedora Core 3 was our best release since.
• Red Hat founder's new project helps fund open source development, November 1^st 2004, DesktopLinux.com - Here I have some comments on why boxed sets work. This includes the press release that is at the bottom, which made it to quite the few news sites.
• PC.com: Cover Story: Free, Open and Powerful, June 2004, PC.com Magazine - Mainly an overview of OpenOffice.org, with a few comments from me.
• Linux and affordable PCs - Gemilang offers more than you think, March 23^th 2004, InTech (The Star) - The Start Box - This was a press release that eventually became an article, about what's cool in Fedora Core 1 and what we'll be including with the PC Gemilang PCs.

2003
