Happy new year!

Electronic Christmas treeHappy New Year everyone. The year 2012 has come to an end and we’re on an end-of-year vacation. The only twist is that this time we’ve been overseas and not in KL even on Christmas day – so for the first time in 21 years, we’ve not had a party (the last time a family member was getting married).

The year 2012 has been fruitful in terms of travel, and TripIt suggests I’ve completed 36 trips, visiting 20 countries and 42 cities. That’s a whopping 456,110 miles with 262 days on the road. I’m on my 37th trip now, but I guess it’ll count later when the year rolls over.

All said and done, lots has been achieved on the work front. Many are posting retrospectives of how 2012 was, but 2012 was great for me in some arenas and not great in some (like I had many things boiling in the pot for launching, multiple items on my TODO list that need completing, etc.)

That aside, 2013 is fresh, I’m writing this from my hotel room in Paris, and I plan to write a lot more in 2013 and launch a lot more (read: do). There were some things that made 2011 great (plenty of activity in one of my partnerships), and I guess we’ll do that again in 2013.

So little time, so much to do. Here’s to a rocking 2013.
